Privacy/Compliance Legal Support
What you will do & opportunities you will have:
- Provide support in areas related to compliance with privacy laws and regulations including U.S. federal and state privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), global laws and regulations, and TR privacy policies;
- Respond to internal and external questions concerning privacy requirements, including Data Subject Requests;
- Conduct reviews of Business Associate Agreements and other privacy-related contracts/documents under the direction of Privacy/Compliance Counsel;
- Research relevant privacy and compliance-related regulatory changes, enforcement activity and other issues, and communicate/educate the team and other staff as directed;
- Assist with project-specific tasks and reporting including M&A and Integration;
- Provide support in areas related to Enterprise Compliance, including assisting with assigned incident investigation and providing other related support under the direction of Privacy/Compliance Counsel;
- Participate in auditing and monitoring activities including taking ownership of monthly auditing and monitoring efforts;
- Participate in and help team meetings;
- Create and publish monthly internal privacy newsletters, blogs, and/or training documents for staff education;
- Communicate regularly and effectively with key stakeholders;
Skills you must have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Business-minded
- Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing abilities
- Experience using, analyzing, and integrating software/tools/systems to increase automation and efficiency
- Ability to analyze and make process and policy recommendations in order to address gaps, and increase automation and efficiency
- Proficient with MS Office and similar tools
- Strong project management/organizational skills
- Adaptable, collaborative, and willing to learn
- Privacy/Compliance certification a plus but not required (e.g., CIPP/US/EU)
- Law Degree preferred but not required
