Joni and her husband, Chris, live in Fayette County, and are the proud parents of two children in college: daughter Harper at Texas A&M, and son Owen at Trinity University. Joni is also an avid music lover who for more than 16 years has devoted a good part of every weekend moonlighting as the venue manager for a non-profit listening room in La Grange.
